Our new ridge cut reed has been developed to cater primarily for pipe bands. The G4 pitches higher than the G3 reed and is available in medium-hard strengths. Manufactured with the same state of the art equipment as the G3 but uses a solid brass staple. This reed produces a very crisp bright tone thoughout the scale and a clear strong high A without a heavy crow. It works well in all the common brands of band chanter.
